Job Description:
Overview
The Counselor is an important part of high-quality behavioral
health services provided to both inpatients or/and outpatients of
UnityPoint Health. Foremost among the responsibilities listed below
is the delivery of competent and professional services that are in
accordance with the overall institutional goals and objectives,
regulatory standards and requirements and their own professional
ethical standards. Reflects a commitment to compassionate,
competent care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. Care is
provided through a therapeutic relationship with the patient and
family. A spirit of inquiry is encouraged and supported.
Evidence-driven protocols are utilized to assure reliable and
consistent care. The patients to be served may include adolescent,
adult and geriatric.
Qualifications
License/Certifications:
Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) within 2 years -
Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification
Association (IAODAPCA)Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse
Professional Certification Association (IAODAPCA); LCSW or LCPC
within 2 years - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $17.12per hour -
$27.73per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum
range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The
actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a
variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's
experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts
worked and compensation model.
