Locums - Peoria, Illinois, NP/PA Hospitalist Opening
Clinical Role:

  • ASAP - Ongoing Need
  • Coverage needed is needed for inpatient hospital admitting
  • This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, 7a-3p. Possible Saturday & Sunday coverage may be needed, day shift, 8a-4p, but not routinely is needed. Also, a 1p-1a shift for 7 on/7off is also needed.
  • Bread & butter Hospital Medicine APP experience
  • No procedures required, no codes or RRTs. Includes rounding and admitting
  • Number of Beds: 329
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • EMR: Epic
  • Patient Population: > 18 years; Medicare, & Private Payors
  • Average # of Cases Per Day: Approx. 8 Patients
  • Support Staff: Full MD/DO Support; RN & Techs
  • Number of Physicians/APPs in Dept.: 27 Physicians and 7 APPs
  • IL Licensed PA is required; however, an exception may be made for an APRN (possibly considered, but MUST HAVE Acute Care Certification and direct patient care experience in a hospital setting within the last year)
  • IL CSR/DEA Required
  • PA-C - Highly Preferred
  • NP-APRN - Welcome
  • BLS Required
